Is it ok to be 16 and not have your period?

I know this girl she is 16 and still deosn't have her period, and her 17 birthday is in 4 months or something like that.

well sometimes it comes later in life you don't necessarily have to have it in her teens or she could be barren and cant have babys. some people are just born that way its hard to explain but if she really thinks theres a problem then maybe she should as her doctor or a gynecologist to get checked hoped .I helped .

My friend didn't get her period till around that time, because of her body size. To be on the safe side though, she should talk with her doctor just to make sure.

Periods vary girl to girl. I know someone who didnt start till she was 18! Girls really can be late bloomers! Let her know that she can talk to her doctor about this, so he can give her further information on why her body hasn't reached that stage yet!

Yea I got my period 2 months after I turned 16 its normal for some people but to be on the safe side she should go see a doctor
