Period issues-help needed

Ok, so my friend told me to ask. We're not really sure whats going non. She is on her period and today we went swimming in the bay. When we got back she started having weird cramps. She said when she went to the bathroom, there was really big clots that...

came out. Is there something WRONG? what could it be?
Or is it just normal.help please!!

well, I think that it is just normal because sometimes, blood can dry up after awhile in you and when it come out it is together in a clot. I think that it is normal, so you dont have to worry.

Passing clots during your menstruation is normal. However, passing clots that are larger than normal, with severe pain isn't. Is the bleeding itself heavier than normal? Is she having severe pain that isn't similar to cramping? Chances are, things will be fine. If she bleeds excessively heavy, has severe abdominal pain, and/or happens again next month with the same symptoms, I'd recommend that she see her doctor.
