What type of painkillers to you take. Normal pain killers like aspirin and paracetamol won't work as effectively for period pain, you'll need to get something with ibuprofen in it. Also excercise during your period it will cause the cramps to be less.

Try pain killers aimed at cramps, if those dont work you could get something prescription (or hormonal birth control is another option)

try painkillers aimed at your problem, relax yourself and try to put your mind on something else.
I use a heat pad or hot water bottle to sooth the pain and sleeping can help too.
