People looking down on you

Why do people look down on people
For example
I went into a shop with like crappy clothes on and no make up and my hair pinned back
Because I couldnt be bothered
And the shop assistant looked at me like I was dirt and that I shouldnt be in the shop
And...

all round treated me like scum, whats that all about ? X

unfortunately everyone nowadays judge eachother by looks and first impressions

people, in general, are low, shallow people

put yourself in the shop assistance's position

bot everyone would react the same way.
it isnt very nice. but poeple are very mean.

You're saying you gave off a bad impression and were treated badly? I'm confused? What exactly did you expect? Think about it not as a single incident, but in general. When people come to a store looking like crap, they're not likely to actually be there to buy stuff, or they might be looking to steal stuff. Now, it obviously isnt true of everyone, but odds wise, it is probably true. So, now, as humans we put things into categories in order to process information faster. She put you in a particular category because of the way you dressed. Is it fair? No. Is it the way life works? Yes.

people like that just think there higher than you

just ignore them cause its taking it to heart which makes them think there even higher

I'm not saying you werent... just that she put you in a category with people who dont... it's not fair, but people do things like that... I mean you cant take it personally... it had nothing to do with you, but her own misconceptions...

Always look at the bright side..

Atleast you're the one who is there to buy something and not the one whose going to stand there whole day trying to sell something. From this frame of mind you'll understand them infact you'll feel pity for them.

When you enter a shop filled with these kind of sales clerk just tell yourself How can I make her smile, she must be tired standing the whole day just to make a decent living..

If I was you.. after I got outta that place I would have laughed at them.. I don't know I think its funny that people judge based on looks first..
