People blaming being drunk for their actions?

Does anyone else find it really irritating when people use "I was drunk" as an excuse that they did something. I had friends in high school that would always cheat on their boyfriends while drunk and they thought it was okay because of being under the influence. People are just too stupid to know when to stop and know how to control themselves - overall I think its pretty lame when people use it as an excuse why they had sex with someone and stuff like that.

Yep. Since alcohol often causes a person to shed their inhibitions, its really a bad excuse anyway. All it means in the end is: ''I wanted to do it already, but the booze gave me the encouragement.''

If you want to blame your actions on alcohol, fine, lie to yourself. Then you can blame the consequences on your lack of moderation.

Stupid excuse - not accepting responsibility for making a bad life 'choice' - ruining relationships with their boyfriends is a consequence of that choice - sounds like their risking setting themselves up for a lot of heartache - hope they'll get help/make changes for their own sake.

I find myself rolling my eyes whenever someone says "but I was really drunk when I did it". It's not like saying that is a 'get out of jail free' card. Mind you, anyone who forgives someone for that kinda excuse, generally deserves what they get- one complete loser of a human being that they're associated with.

NO ONE IS TO DRUNK TO SAY "IT WAS THE ALCOHOL" BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO DRINK IT AND THEY CANT SAY THERE ADDICTED EITHER.
