Why do I pass wind in my sleep?

when im sleeping I tend to pass wind. its really loud and it wakes me up. Its not because I need the toilet, and they dont smell, and I dont think its particulary from a type of food im eating.
im really embarrised about it and want to know a reason why, and possibly a solution!!

It is quite normal to pass wind when you sleep, my partner does it all he time, he however does not wake himself up just me lol.. think about the foods you eat through the day and your snacks during the evening, try not to eat passed, say 6pmish. tfood takes time to get through your system, so if you have eaton something that just building up in your tummy through the evening than its bound to let rip during the night, so lay off food in the evening and hopefully your wind will pass when your awake and not at night time
