Parent power is a bummer

I am 14 years old and my parents will not let me have a cell phone, I have tried everything, from offering to pay, to working for it and willing to prove I am responsible and they still say no I could really use some advice here, please help.

maybe if you use reverse psychology???...act like you dont want 1 anymore and maybe dey'll c you aint buggin bout it so dey'll get you 1 willingly...I know diz sounds like a dumb answer but hey it use to work on my parents when I was younger

Have you asked for a pre paid ???Verizon pre pay is good its $15 phone cards and they have a lot of plans you can choose from.

Maybe they can't afford one right now. Do good sh*t around the house for a while, don't bug them on it and after you have them nice and impressed maybe you can talk to them about a phone and get a yes.

Maybe they're having money problems, don't think you're old enough, or won't accept that you're getting older.

Or maybe they just don't want your life to be consumed by a cell phone.

I haven't brought up the topic of cell phones anymore and just let events where I would need the safety of a cell phone happen, and my dad wants me to always carry his, which I now don't want. :/
