About 6 months ago I quit smoking cigarettes, and pot, but I only quit pot for about a week before I went back to pot but not cigarettes, I started having panic attacks whenever I smoked, so I eventually got sick of it and quit, but now I find that 2 weeks later, I have panic attacks several times a day, and it's driving me crazy...aswell as severe anxiety/paranoia.......is it possible that QUITING is making these panic attacks occur? I'm considering going back to cigarettes because of it, but I fear that will make me have even more panic attacks

Sounds like a problem, honestly, that doesn't have to do with smoking. My mom quit after smoking cigarettes for more than thirty years, and she didnt' have any panic attacks - however, she did put on some weight, which is relatively common.

Talk to a doctor about it, or an advice nurse. Try also to do some relaxation exercises, meditation or yoga...either way though, don't go back to smoking cigarettes.

Good luck!
