is sara palin an asset or liability for the republican party?

I'd say that she is an asset because her strengths and weakinesses compliment McCain's; where McCain is weak she is strong and vice versa. She appeals to a large portion of conservative voters without alienating the religious right..

Asset. My in-laws are very right-wing conservative Christian and they like her for her
"family values" and as my father-in-law says "she's easy on the eyes".

I don't think it was a wise choice at all...I don't care if she was the captain of her basketball team in high school and came second in Miss Alaska pageant...Oh my god...we are so superficial and ignorant. Not only is she inexperienced but she wouldn't know what to do if she got in office if McCain died...which he might at anytime considering he is 72.

She is the gov. of ALASKA...hello!?...alaska, yes...it is 1/4th of Chicago. So now I guess that makes her eligible for vice president.

If everyone says that Obama is so inexperienced why are we on her side...

I think the GOP thinks she is an asset. I think in the long run, she will be shown to be a liability. It will be Palin who loses independent and swing voters for mccain. Right now, she is a blank slate. Once she starts having to answer real questions, and goes up against Biden in the debates, she will lose a lot of credibility among those voters.
