Is a painter guy supposed to have a set pay rate or are they all different? I have a guy that is trying to charge me $2000 for two rooms he did. Is this right?

They're all different.

Now, $2000 for two rooms, that's highway robbery!!! I recently had my house done for just over $2000 and they threw in free carpet cleaning. My house is pretty large too.

It's hard to say since you didn't mention the size of the rooms and if there was any preparation work involved (trim, etc)....a friend here in SC charges $1.50 a sq ft (includes trim)....northeast probably much higher....hope this helps

Good Luck and God Bless !!

he can charge you a million. it is up to you to pay him
for to average rooms will be painted for 600 + prep or repairs + trim in all we ar talking about 1000 with materials. and another advice don't be so chip eather. painters don't like it and if you play the chip card you would end up paying 2500.
