Why was my gynocological visit so painful?

So I am 16 and I had my first visit to the gynecologist a few weeks ago. Everyone I know told me that it wouldnt hurt I would just feel some discomfort and pressure. Now I take pain very well and this was very very painful for me. I even told the gyn but she didnt do anything to help. Once I told my mom this she said maybe it was because I am tiny ( 5ft 1 105lbs) Could this be why it hurt so bad? If that hurt so much will sex hurt even more?

ok first of all when I was your age wich was a few years back I had a visit to my gynecologist I can handle pain verry well and there was discomfort but no pain that doesnt sound right and your mom needs to take that more seriously because when I first read your question I felt kind of violated thats just sounds odd..your weight and hight got nothin to do with it but if you were a vergin then it might hurt depending on what she did to you ..but, still that seems too painful, more painful then it should have been.

Intercourse and ob-gyn visits should not hurt whether you are tiny or not and whether you are a virgin or not. That's good that you told the ob-gyn that it hurt. If you feel like she just blew it off, you could try a different ob-gyn the next time that you go.
