P.o.v. of a "prep"

PREPS and GOTHS
I've noticed that there is a lot of controversy between these two "groups". it's so back and fourth, preps this and goths that blah blah blah. Do you people realize that when you make fun of or insult the other "group" that you're only making yourselves look bad? I cannot speak for goths but I will admit that I am what you consider a "prep". But it's not like hate anyone who is goth. I actually have a lot of friends who are "goth" and I love them, they're awesome. And to read questions like "why do preps always pick on emos and goths?" is not only misleading, but then to read answers like "yeah all preps are stupid, ignorant, and judgemental. they only wear abercrombie and put on too much makeup.", and to hear people call preps "b*tches, bimbos, and sluts" is truly insulting. It's like labeling people before you get to know them. I'm not saying that all preps are bible carrying saints, but not all preps are complete jerks. During my time on this site, I haven't judged anyone who calls themselves preppy, goth, emo,skater, or whatever, and I don't see why anyone would want to. Aren't we all people with feelings no matter what clothes we wear, who we hang with, where we chill, and what music we listen to?

I suppose this wasn't really a question for advice, and may cause a little controversy, but I would definatly like to hear opinions on this subject from either side, but I'd prefer if people refrain from insulting other groups because that is what bothered me and encouraged me to write this whole thing in the first place.

I can tell you this: someone who is actually into goth and is a mature person does not care about "prep," "emo," "skater," or any of that crap.

we call them that because they think they have the right to judge us so then we have a full right to judge the hell outa them I cant really talk because I ustobe a prep and im not goth but I guess in considered emo scene the thing is we can never stop the stereo typing we cant stop the judging because havent you noticed we have all been raised but sertain people who baciclly teach you to be greedy we all have no other place...

but if someone is immature and judges you, why would you judge them in return to show that it is wrong? I think it shows that everyone is equally immature and judgemental and that by judging someone in return it shows that you are no better. and I direct that to anyone.
