Ovulation question that I need answered as soon as tonight.

I need someone to answer this who actualy realllly knows what there talking about because I need a 100 percent accurate answer. I usualy ovulate on my 14th day. and I have a regular period,. and my period was about 5 days late this month. (I was suposed to get it on the 26) but instead I got it on the 31. and my last day was on November 3rd. so I figured I would be ovulating around the 12th. and when I ovulate I get a lot of discharge. and today I've been getting (not as much as I usually do) but a good amt. does your ovulation start the day you get your period or the day that your SUPOSED to get your period? im planning on having sex with my boyfriend tonight but im not going to if im ovulating. so id ont know what to do.

Figure out when your next period is due to begin and count back 12 to 16 days. This will give you a range of days when you will probably be ovulating (for women with a 28-day cycle, the 14th day is often the one). Change in cervical mucus. As your cycle progresses, your cervical mucus increases in volume and changes texture. The greater volume and changes in texture reflect your body's rising levels of estrogen. You are considered most fertile when the mucus becomes clear, slippery, and stretchy. To get a regular cycle going I suggest going on the pill. It regulates you and you get your period on the same day every month so its much easier to calculate when you are ovulating, and get extra protection from pregnancy.
