Osmosis evaluation.

I am currently writing an osmosis evaluaton for school. We conducted an experiment where we soaked potato chips in sucrose solution, however now I have come to write my evaluation one of my points is why you would replace the SUCROSE with SALT?

salt is a hypertonic solution
that means it would 'dehydrate' the chip
it would shrivel up the chip
