Where is he? Whats up with him ? Why can't we catch him?

I absolutely agree he needs to be brought to justice. We know that he was involved in the bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and the USS Cole attack. And it would deal a psychological blow to al Qaeda on some level.

As far as 9/11, it's hard to say either way; we just don't know enough. It's possible he did know about and/or approved the attacks, but it's very possible that he didn't. The "bin Laden confession" video recovered in 2001 is probably bogus. The FBI doesn't even consider it evidence. In fact, the FBI hasn't found any evidence linking bin Laden to the attacks after 7 years of investigations. So far, he has not been formally indicted by Grand Jury, as he has for the embassy bombings.

No one, including US intel, has any idea where Osama bin Laden is. The last knowledge of his whereabouts was in 2000, when he was spotted in eastern Afghanistan. It was also confirmed he was relaying orders during the battle of Tora Bora, in 2001. Since then, nobody knows anything. It's been speculated that he is now in northern Pakistan, along with a lot of other al Qaeda militants. But there is no credible evidence suggesting that.

He's not that important, anyway. It's doubtful he has much control over al Qaeda anymore. Most of the organization seems to be directed by other people in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other locations throughout Africa and the Middle East. It's also very unlikely that bin Laden had anything to do with planning the 9/11 attacks, and may not have even known they were going to happen.

RG, while I think OBL is not the great mastermind some would have us believe, I do think he knew 9/11 was going to happen, and gave it his approval. I also think it is important to bring him and others to justice just for the sake of our national psyche.

I dont understand why they can catch the guy.
