Half full! If you dwell on what is empty and NOT there, your going to miss out on all the wonderful things in the half that is full and IS there!

Overflowing, I have every reason to be optimistic - Jesus - I read the Book and know how it ends...Amen !!

Depends on the day, or minute. I am a moody person.

It's usually half empty for me. But I'm trying to get myself to think on the brighter sides of things, since it's not healthy to be negative.

I'm a pessimist.

my therapist says you shouldn't be a perssimist or optimist...you should be a realist.

I don't think that I'm either.
if the cup was just filled half way then it's half full
if the cup was spilled half way then it's half empty

or maybe I'm both

I hope it's half full but I'm going to look for the nearest faucet because it's probably half empty (defensive pessimism).

I agree with amblessed! What a wonderful way to put it. I've read the book too. Jesus wins!

My glass is half full and I am happy because my thirst was quenched from the first half.

Lovely practical answer, Jackie!

Thanks, everyone. I'm more of an optimist myself. I do get pessimistic moments, but that's when I start procrastinating, don't get the housework done etc... So optimisim works better for me.

I'm sure that my faith is also a major contributor to my optimism, too. Amblessed and torikeene are right that if you know the end of the story, as it were, you always have something to look forward to!
