why is it that when I insert a DVD in my DVD drive nothing happens (normally a window comes up asking if I want to open the folders on the disc, etc.) but when its in the drive nothing happens. When I access my computer and go double click the disc icon it asks me to give it a name so I can format it! Does anyone know whats going on?

Not exactly sure, I would just try a system restore more than likely that will clear it up. Is it asking you to name the cd to format it or to name the cd rom drive to format it?
