always use a condom and plently of lubrication. best to stimulate the anus first with a finger. there are just as many nerves in the anus as the vagina/pen*s, but because the muscles are much tighter it can be painful. never have anal and then vaginal sex without changing the condom, as the bacteria in the anus can cause urinary/vaginal infections. you will not die from anal between girlfriend/boyfriend, however! still be very careful and take things slowely. again, condoms are a must to keep you both safe. if done properly it can feel good for both the girl and guy.
