No.. it means either person is allowed to freely be with other partners, while in a relationship with their significant other..

You should tell the other person everything in ANY relationship...

It's an agreement with the two that you can sleep/mess around with others while still maintaining a relationship with the other.

for me it means you're dating a guy but it's ok for you and him to date other people. it has NOTHING to do with sleeping around and that junk.

obviously everyone has different ideas of an open relationship so if you are wondering because you want one or someone else does...by all means get your ideas laced together on the same track. otherwise you are going to end up mighty confused!!

It means that even though you're in a relationship with one person you can do things with other people as well. In other words, you're in a relationship but you aren't exactly tied down.

A open relationship to me means that the relationship is not very serious and you mess with other people and still hve a girlfriend or boyfriend. A closed relationship when you are dating only one person like COMMITMENT.
