Is there an online image search tool that removes duplicates or very similar images (eg crop/format variants)?

Hi,

Not quite sure what you mean by 'removes duplicates'...can you elaborate?

As for image searching, Flickr is now hosting images that are free of licensing by the Library of Congress, so it's a huge engine.
