One question... why?

Why is my daughter dating a loser who has been in and out of drug rehab)? She got pregnant at 19 with him. We helped her thru her pregnancy, and even babysat our granddaughter while she worked. She is now living with her boyfriend at his father's...

house in a different state. He cannot support my daughter and his own baby. His family takes care of my daughter, granddaughter, and him. I don't understand it. When will she wake up and realize what she is doing? She no longer works because she doesn't have to. She is getting everything handed to her (money) from his family, and in the meantime, her boyfriend treats her like dirt, and he gets mad when she talks to her own family. She deserves a whole lot better. She has been with him for 2 and a half years. She is now 20 years old. Has anyone been in the same situation? Or any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Ok.. well I can understand the frustration this had led to.. and all I can tell you is to go ahead and talk to her..everything you typed.. tell her, and when that doesnt work.. then have someone else extremly close to her.. talk to her, etcc.. her dad, a cousin, a favorite aunt or uncle, friend or relative..and if that doesnt work God forbid then you have to let her make her own mistakes, as much as that hurts to say..but what can you do?.. as a mother all you can do is hope and pray you instilled the right values in your children, and give them advice to help them succeed, and always remember to have faith in God to make the situation better..
