I'm 17 (a female my profile says differently and it wont let me change it) and this guy at work asked me out. He's 24, he knows im 17 but he doesnt think it matters. We've known eachother for a looong time, I've been working with him for two years, were actually friends and hes around a lot beacause his brother is going out with my sister. he never was flirty until these past couple months, so its not like hes some creep who likes younger girls, and like I said, I've known him really well for two years. I want to go out with him, but I dont want to be judge or have people think were weird. I mean, I know its a big age difference, but honestly, it doesnt matter to me. Is it wrong? Is any of this wrong?

Depending on what state you live in would determine how okay with it he is. In may states the age of consent for sexual relations is 16. However, some states have the age of consent set at 18, and that is why there is such a push for the 18th birthday. 18 is also recognized internationally in a lot of countries.

No, just as long as you're careful. A lot of the time, such an age difference is generally frowned upon, but there are always exceptions. I think that in your case, an exception can be made. If you like him and he seems like a gentleman, go out with him!!

Yah dont worry about it, with experience.. im 17 and im with a guy who is 27 .. so many people told me not to be with him.. be near him.. anything.. that he was a creep.. but I love him.. just be smart. and really. who cares what people think right? none of their business! good luck!
