Is it ok for an older girl to date a younger guy?

My best friend and I were talking about if it is okay for an older girl to date a younger guy. She likes a soph, we are seniors. I say it's okay, but she thinks it might be weird. What do you think?

it doesn't matter about about age as long as love is there. Anyone who teases you about it isn't your friend. if you're happy that should be good enough for anybody.

In highschool it is hard because you guys tend to stick to your grades. It is considered very strange and just simply not cool to go out with someone that much younger than you. However, if you really do like this guy and want to date him.. go for it. Who should stop you? It shouldn't matter that he is in 10th. Who cares? Just be prepared for some not-so-nice remarks from others and make sure you can easily shrug them off before you commit to this guy.

Genarally talking about this, I say that it happens, but there are some age-combinations that are almost unacceptable. But if your senior friend is childish (unmature) to her age, even this combination may work well.
