Older man and my friend

my friend is 14 and in love with a fifty something year old man. im worried about her. she's kinda obsessed. Is this normal? Is she sick, or crazy??

Okay thats is a very big age gap. But Im 17 and with a thirty five year old. I love him. We've been together almost a year and its great. My opinion is its normal. you can like or love someone older than you. But she is only 14 and 50 something is a huge age gap. It could be a faze. But no its not sick or crazy. Its puppy love. But she is still a kid. So be careful. There are some sick pervs out there.

umm tell her that its sick I mean age doesnt matter but when its that far she really has problems and it may be a faze but I am 16 and never went through that and either has anyone I know!! so I would talk to her about it

Your friend is projecting on a father figure. She may be missing this in her life. She is not crazy but can be in trouble with this. This man...since we don't know anything about him...we may assume he could take advantage of the situation. If they are meeting and even talking on the phone with each other you need to tell an adult, your parents, her parents. This is not healthy for her and could turn in to a very dangerous situation for her and a jail sentence for him.
