What if we like each other but can't date?

okay so I told my best friend that I liked him and he said he likes me back but I don't know what to do now cause we cant date until next year when we will both be in highschool and I seen him tonite and I dont think he noticed me because he didnt say anything to me. and im to shy to say anything to him but here is my problem the way I seen him tonite I don't know if I like him anymore. and I told him that we could date next year if nothing big happend and I dont know what to do can someone please help me ?

Whats wrong with being friends. And besides you don't want to ruin a freindship over a relationship do you? Just talk to him and tell him how you feel keep it real but simple.
