Asked by bebley5 18 days ago, 7 answers.

I have acne everywhere! Chest, back, face, neck. My mom says its cause my skins really oily. Which I guess it is, can't go a day without washing my hair :p.
But does anyone have advice on how to reduce the amount of oil? I'm thinking that that may help...

get rid of my acne, I've had it since I was 11 and now I'm 15. I'm ready for it to go away!!! Haha
Any help would be great(:

Also I forgot to mention about your hair. What you should do is wash your scalp with shampoo twice and condition your ends just once. Here is why. When you wash your scalp the first time, it gets rid of all the crap that is in your hair. The second time, it stimulates your hair follicles and get the natural oils out. This will reduce your oily hair. I would recommend using Redkin products for your hair because it is very sensitive. You will notice that your hair doesn't get oily as quickly. Be careful not to wash your ends. Just think of it this way. Your ends are the oldest and most delicate. The shampoo dries out your end causing them to split. As you rinse your hair free of the shampoo, it will get rid of any gel or hair products that are on your ends. Remember to rinse, rinse, rinse. That also helps from over-drying out. You will want to condition just your ends. Your scalp produces enough natural oil for that. I would also recommend using a leave in conditioner no more than once a month. This will help revive your hair. In colder months, you may want to increase the use of leave in conditioner up to once a week.

When doing this, you will see your hair come alive. It will look fuller and bouncier because it will not be weighed down by all of the oils that you put into it.

As a side note, getting your hair cut (trimmed up to 1 inch) every 6-8 weekd will allow it to grow nicer and faster. I hope this helps you.

Unfortunately, the only way to control it is by seeing a dermatologist regularly.

Just remember that this is a /medical/ condition, not a /cosmetic/ condition.

Make sure you're eating properly. Sugary foods, and other sorts of junk food can play a part in causing bad acne. Make sure you bath daily(don't say you don't, though we all get lazy at times and may skip a day and such. Just be sure you don't for awhile). You can also try Black Soap, a naturally made soap, imported from Nigeria(personally the best thing I ever used for my acne). Perhaps try to keep cool, keep from sweating. That's about all I can think about. However, I'm no doctor. I believe for the best information(as pinkdottedbow said) consult your dermatologists.

I had the same problem when I was in high school. People would call me pizza face. Well one year I notice that when I started working out my face cleared. What I realized is that when you sweat, it clears out your pores and your skin. Then when I went to college, I learned that you don't want to over wash your face or use those products more than once a week ( I would recommend it like once or twice a month). What happens is those products over dry your skin out and as a reaction, you skin produces more oil to keep it flexible and lubricated (so your skin doesn't dry and crack). I will get a break out once a month during my menstrol cycle which is normal for most women. I just avoid touching my face and things and they will go away usually within a week or so. I hope this helps. Let me know.
