Obsesssion with beauty

How do model agencies influence people obsession with beauty?

they show images of what they want people to consider 'beautiful' and keep showing them over and over until the public all has the same idea of what beauty is
so that way the average people try and try to be as beautiful or like the models they use, but its so hard because most people aren't 5'11 and 115 lbs

Im a model. Um, plus size model and im 5'8 170 some pounds. Not every model is 115 pounds as foxxy said...

I'm not a model, but I act in commercials for small business, It isn't the modeling agencies but the companies that hire them who make these commercials look this way. I hate questions like this, Anyone can be a model or in my case an actress but all of those people that think they are ugly or they don't fit in whats most people consider perfect but thats becouse no one takes the time too even try, even a "real person" who goes into a career like that the major thing they need is personallity.
Don't blame the agencies just becouse beauty is style and style is whats in and whats in sells and makes money there just doining there jobs. Honestly this is like a fat person complaining to Mcdonalds about how the food made them fat, and you know what they'll say you didn't have to eat it. Your like the offended person who complains at the agency about making them feel bad, and they'll say you didn't have to get offended.
