Obama

Asked by kitkatmilly 3 months ago, 22 answers.

Why did America vote for Obama? What do people see in him? If Obama was white, he would have not won and Mccain would have taken office and America would be going strong. I just want to know the reason behind why people voted for him? He's kind of a...

moron...just saying

I personally know of no one who voted for Obama because he was black. And if he was white, he probably would have won by even more. He won despite being black, not because of it.

I voted for him because I believed in his message more than I believed in McCain's, not because of his ethnicity. So far, I don't not feel he has lived up to that message, but I also feel he has had his hands full repairing the damage of the previous administration, and that six months is too early to start damning his efforts.

No doubt some people did vote for President Obama because he is black but then again some people didn't vote for him because he is black.

The main reason people voted for him is because they didn't like the direction our nation was going.

Obama kind of a moron? Come on! he was president of the Harvard Law review and a professor of constitutional law. Even if you don't like his politics you have to admit he is an intelligent man.

Hey... two advisors... aren't questions intended for ''flame-baiting'' against the rules?

I wouldn't really call this flame-baiting...it's a pretty logical question (albeit, worded a little off-handed).

More common sense? They started two pointless wars and their policies and lack of over sight led to a financial crash that almost turned into another depression... right, republicans have lots of common sense...

As for your statement, uhm I'm pretty sure anyone who was a democrat would have won the election... but at least obama has brains, or would you like me to send you a reel of Bush bloopers? if you're going to call someone a moron at least be able to back it up...

I can see russia from my house!

do I even need to say anything about the turkey she was trying to save on thanksgiving? (she was standing in front of a turkey butcher, with turkeys getting massacred with their heads cut off and blood pooring down the machine. ALL uncensored and unnoticed for 90% of the video.)

oops. I said it..

You come across as a democratic shill... trying to stoke the flames of a nonexistent racial bias against Obama... or at least confuse legitimate gripes in a smoke screen of bigotry.

miscegenymiser, you aren't really suggesting there is absolutely no racial bias against Obama? There were far more people who voted against him because he is black than there were those who voted for him because he is black.

However, I am not suggesting that opposition to his policies has anything to do with his race. I am sure most people who disagree with him have honest differences of opinion.

I wrote two longer responses to this inquiry but by two seperate acts of electronic retribution... I lost both trying to post.

Suffice it to say... No.. I'm not suggesting absolutely no racist bias one way or the other... only that it is much overblown.

correction...ty has put out bad info... the republicans, specifically John McCain, tried to point out the financial situation long before the collapse last year. It has become apparent to those who arent blinded by the far left that the dems (barney frank, franklin raines, chris dodd) told everyone it was ok, but they just held it up long enough to let it collapse before the presidential election last year...no wonder the most liberal, radical idiot got elected...yeah president of Harvard, costitutional law proffessor? then how come everything he has done since taking office has been blatently UNLAWFUL according to the constitution? wake up...obama is the most educated moron on the planet right now...

irrismith, since this rant is just old, tired, used up, FOX Noise rethoric (lies), I will ignore most of it. But please tell me what Obama has done that is 'blatently UNLAWFUL according to the constitution'?

I know LOTS of people who voted for obama for the sole purpose of him being black. it's not right, but it's reality. one of the ammendments says everyone has a right to live. abortion does not give everyone that chance. that's why I'm not a democrat and/or liberal.

bethyxbeexd, LOTS? How many is Lots? Do you think it is more than the number of people who would never vote for a black man. Trust me, there were far more of them than those that voted for him solely because he was black.

And while I respect your views on abortion, the republicans have done nothing in that reqard, other than offer lip service. Do you know that every year Clinton was in office the abortion rate dropped, and every year bush was in office it went up.

Okay, hold on here, those who are saying that people voted for obama because he's black...are right, most of the americans who voted for him did vote that way because they wanted to be part of the first revolution of actually putting a black man in office, but to me, it doesn't matter the color of his skin, whether its a woman or a man...it matters to me whether or not they're doing a good job...and Mr. Obama...is not...or atleast not so far. As for pointless wars, anybody who's american and is old enough to remember what happened on September 11th wanted the same damn thing as all of us, we were mad, they attacked our people and killed thousands of innocent people...so therefore, we were pissed and if you're not American, don't say that if your country wasn't attacked you wouldn't be mad too. Thank you Mr. President for overspending our tax dollars and running this country into even more debt! Good job!

And what is the source of this claim? How do you know why most people voted for Obama? I could also say that most people who voted against Obama did so because he is black. It wouldn't make any more true. Stop watching FOX Noise so much.

*** As for pointless wars, anybody who's american and is old enough to remember what happened on September 11th wanted the same damn thing as all of us, we were mad, they attacked our people and killed thousands of innocent people...so therefore, we were pissed and if you're not American, don't say that if your country wasn't attacked you wouldn't be mad too.***

And anybody who can remember 9/11 should also remember that Iraq had nothing to do with it. Iraq was about oil, not 9/11. Yes, terrorists killed thousands of americans. Did we need to kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis to get even?

*** Thank you Mr. President for overspending our tax dollars and running this country into even more debt! Good job! ***

Were you this critical of Bush when he DOUBLED the national debt? Obama was left with a mess, and it looks like his policies are starting to turn things around.
