Obama

Big Bear Asked by anomaly 11 months ago, 12 answers.

I read what you said about Obama. I voted for him, and I was wondering why more young people like yourself, don't have the same view point that you do? If this country thought as you did, we'd probably be okay. I've voted for candidates that didn't win...

and as you said, I stood behind the one that did win, and held NO grudge.

He might be a terrible president, BUT, he very well be just what this country needs. Why is it that so many others are head strong regarding Obama, not wanting to acknowledge that he won, it's over, grow up and do the right thing? Just wondered your opinion of why you are different in your thinking. Thx!

I didn't vote for Obama because of race why is that such a big deal?? I believe what she meant was, she isn racist and b/c some people believes that others didnt vote for him is b/c he is black, she was simply saying that his race had nothing to do wit it. I didint vote for him obama, but im not crying b/c he won either. but I think people needs to stop being so touchy b/c some doesn like obama. you said to grow up, and I agree, people needs to stop bein so touchy b/c one doesn like him. I have never seen anyone get so upset b/c one doesn like obama. and I dont understand why you answered her back the way you did, you asked her bout her views and she answered you with her views, and you act like she did a bad thing. how else was she supposed to answer it??

Well, I have strong morals and values to why I didn't vote for Obama.
I didn't vote for Obama because of race, I didn't vote for Obama because of his views on Abortion, his economic plans, his position of the War, his plans to nationalize health care, or, the judgement that he lacks.
I don't think he'll do as well as past Presidents since he really wasn't fit to do the job. You have your own opinion and I should be entitled to mine don't I not? Obama will ruin troditional values this country was founded on. No one in the democratic party is really staying in touch with those. That goes for the Republican party. That's why republicans lost the election. This is twice they've lost.
I consider myself a conservative not a republican. I don't think Obama will care if Al Qaeda would attack us. I don't think he'll care to deal with that if we get attacked again. I'll never like Obama but, I suppose! I should give him a chance.
Anyway, I'm not like some people my age that voted for him. I don't need to be either. I knew better enough to vote for the candidate that had the most experiance militarily, and someone that's pro life. Obama isn't Pro Life, MCCain is. I do think though that both candidates have their flaws. I know Obama does.
I hoped I answered this question the best I could.

Actually, you've got me wrong. Please re-read my message. I was commending you on your thoughts. That's all, I was trying to tell you I respect your views, though different.

Perhaps not.

***He might be a terrible president, BUT, he very well be just what this country needs***

Can you explain this statement a little more?

Sure, I am saying that while it's true that any president, being a politician, most of them liars, corruptible and power hungry as proven in the past, there is a possibility that any president, Obama or McCain could be a terrible president. On the other hand, he just may very well, (as I hope and pray) be just what this country needs: a leg up in horrific times.

Did that explain it?

Oh Leslie,
You must have a different way to word your answer...

I didn't vote for Obama because of race

I noticed that one too, but gave the benefit of the doubt. I read it several times:-)

lish54,

If you are speaking to me, I was simply complimenting her, however that point is moot now, isn't it? She completely misunderstood me, I explained myself, which wasn't necessary. ALLL I did was to compliment her on her youth and wisdom. Don't worry, I will never, ever make that mistake again. You know, Ive been sick for a couple of wks, I could have gone to bed, but I wanted to tell her that I admire the fact that people from different political parties can get over it! Apparently, I was wrong in extending myself to her-

I'm new here and was only being friendly. Pardon my criminal behavior.

lish, I was giving Leslie the benefit also, as was Phrannie. From the wording of our answers you can tell we were saying that how she worded her answer was not the best.

Re: anomaly

Yes, that does explain it.

Anyway, while Obama may be spreading propaganda around, his administration is not yet guilty of criminal activity, like the Bush administration...

Kingofpop-

In rereading my sentence in question, I can see how it became misunderstood. This entire thread so far is one misunderstanding after another!

Let's hope that Mr Obama will never be found guilty of any criminal activity. I'm hoping he can help this mess we're in. I agree with your statement about Bush and the sooner he is forced to face the consequences of what he's done, the better- Thing is, they always get pardoned, one way or another.
