No man could solve all of our problems.

If President Obama fixes more things than he breaks I'll consider him a highly effective president.

Nobody can really be sure. All new presidents seem to be criticized harshly at first. Some end up doing a poor job, some do amazing things, and some are just okay. I say give him a another year or two in office to decide what kind of president he is. America has a LOT of problems and I doubt that any one person can solve them all. It will take years and a few presidencies to fix things.

I'm interested in seeing the answer that the members of this site provide to this question. Based on what I have seen so far no. That is not saying he is not trying, I do believe he is. I believe he is trying to take America in a direction in line with his beliefs. Sadly I do not have the same beliefs as him. I do not believe what he will do will help my country in the long run.

He can only guide America...he can't control it.

It's up to the American citizens to finally start making things right...one man can't do what an entire nation refuses to do.

That's how it will always be. Not everybody is going to agree with the president's decisions. There are some great ideas that I think he has and some really horrible ones as well. Lets just hope that whatever he does makes this country better than it has been lately. It doesn't have to be as great as it once was just yet. That will take a long time to get back to. Its a short fall but a long way back up. As long as we're progressively getting better, I'm happy. Hopefully everybody else can be as well.

No one-person is ever the answer to everyone else's problems. This is the kind of kindergarten level thinking that ensures we end up with ever expanding problems.

No matter how smart Obama is, collectively, the rest of us are tremendously smarter.

who knows. I stay out of politics. but I would like to say I have infinitve respect for any president we have has. I can not imgaine what it would be like to have the weight of so many people and so many issues on my shoulders. no pres. can ever fix ALL of americas problems. but they can try to do what they can the best that they can. and not everyone will agree w/ everything they do so there is an added downfall to their job.

No one person is the answer to problems in America. As Obama has said all along, we all need to make changes and sacrifices.

*** As Obama has said all along, we all need to make changes and sacrifices.

This is rhetoric for You must suffer so I can get credit for saving the world. Obama is peddling feel-good to boost his own status/ego, just like all the other politicians.
