Nutra trim gum?

Ok so has anybody heard of nutra trim gum?
Ok well I want to find out if any diet with pills and all that work because I seriously don't want my mom throwing her money away on stuff that won't even work.
Well recently my mom bought something called nutra trim gum and it says that it will increase metabolism and controls cravings(With green tea,egcg,L-cartine and chromium) so I was wondering will this actually help her lose weight or not?
Because I don't want my mom getting her hopes up on losing weight then being let down to find out she wasted money on something useless.

There is no scientific proof that using nutra trim gum alone will help you lose any weight. They active ingredients are all stimulants, but in no way can chewing a piece of gum guarantee any significant weight loss.
The best thing to suggest to your mom is to eat a low fat, healthy diet..and exercise regularly. This is the only method that can really produce 100% effective results in weight loss..everything else is just fads and gimmicks.

I tried it and now I chew it most days. Not sure what nl was saying - Chromium is not a stimulant... it's in most multi-vitamins. I like it especially becuse it has Green Tea and I know that Green tea is actually something that does help increase metabolism.

What I was referring to is the green tea that acts as a natural stimulant. It natuarally contains caffeine. Nutra trim gum has no added or artificial stimulants. Green tea does have some benefits though..

Chromium: I don’t know how similar humans are to hamsters, but apparently chromium picolinate complex causes chromosome damage in hamster cells. In humans, chromium picolinate is used as an aid in weight loss.

L-Carnitine: L-Carnitine and supplements listing L-Carnitine are banned from sale in Canada. It’s a “quaternary ammonium compound synthesized from the amino acids lysine and methionine and is responsible for the transport of fatty acids from the cytosol into the mitochondria.”

I just find it hard to believe that chewing a few pieces of gum a day can have any better of an effect then eating some veggies and taking a walk..

Plus...would you be dependent on this gum after you have lost the weight..to ensure that your metabolism doesnt slow down once you stop taking it...and would your natural level of hunger return...

I guess realistically in terms of weight loss, you want something that is going to take weight off and keep it off...not just a quick fix...
