it can be very bad!! numb body parts can be signs of a stroke... there is a simple disease called foot paresthesia, diabetes, nerve damage from toxin (alcohol can be related), intermittent claudication, or as simple as your cutting of circulation to your body part . whatever the case you need to see a doctor!! this could be a very serious problem, possibly life altering *threatening! what time of day does this happen? if it is during the morning like when you first wake up, it could be rehnods disease
Your position when sitting may be crimping the nerves and blood supply to your foot. Getting up and walking around usually wakes it back up. When you find it happening, definitely GET UP and walk around. It's not good to leave the foot "sleeping" too long. Not only because it is unhealthy for the foot, but because if you had to get up and move in an emergency, you would probably trip and fall because of the lack of coordination with that foot.
Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!
