I just did mine with a needle and it realy dont hurt just numb it with ice then stick it threw all it will do is make your eyes water.

didn't hurt that bad just kinda stung slightly usually makes your eyes water
they just push the needle through then put it the stud or ring you want. haha pretty simple =]
