well my best friend peirced my nose with a pin and it didnt hurt at all and I pierced one of my friends nose. well it doesnt hurt when you get it done but about the next day it'll be reallytender for awhile and mak sure you rotate it every so often because if you dont the skin and tissue with grow around it and the ring with be part of your nose and it'll hurt like h%ll when you try to take it out and don't take is out for a couple of days after it is peirced because the sking will grow really fast and you will have a hard time getting it back in!! good luck!!
I have ten piercings, 1 tattoo, so yes, I got my nose pierced. Well, okay, I pierced my own nose.
I heated up an old earring, stood in front of a mirror and marked where it was going to go, and then worked its way into my nose. It was the first facial piercing I got. It didn't hurt a bit :] It felt like a dull pain and the only part that felt weird was the "pop" when it goes through your cartilage, and the only part that hurt was the last bit of skin. And mine took six hours. I assume that since yours will be quick, it will also be painless.
I don't know about Edmonton, I don't even know where that is, but I know a great shop on Astor Place (Manhattan) NY, where any piercing is 25$ and the ones I got there have never gotten infected.
Just make sure you ask the professional all the questions about care, and when to change, etc. I had to improvise. I took my nosering back in and out on the second day, some thing I should not have done, and it got all puss like so you have to rinse it every day with some type of bacterial removing wash, like peroxide or the ear cleaning solution they give you at Claire's.
(= Hope this helps. It's safe and virtually painless, and its so enjoyable, classy, feminine, and accentuates any face.
My daughter says some sting and tenderness like the others on here have said.
She also said that after care is REALLY important. Go to a clean well established professional place and follow their directions on care. If you are not going to be mature enough to follow the directions, wait another year or three.
Finally, if it becomes infected, go to the doctor IMMEDIATELY. The blood supply to the center of your face also feeds your brain, so infections there are a BIG DEAL.
Good Luck!!
Its hard to say whether its going to hurt or no because it really all depends on your personal pain tolerance. I got mine does when I was 13-years-old (I'm now 18) and I don't remember it hurting. Mine was done with the gun though which they don't use anymore. Overall most people say it doesn't hurt so you should be good to go. I don't know about there, but roughly the price here would be $30.00.
