You might have an infection. Are you using a special antiseptic on it? You will need to be really carefull to keep it clean . mel x

well, I am trying to keep it clean...
I had it done about a year ago and the same problem happened and I finally let it close. this is 2nd pierce and the same problem is there again but not as aggravated as last time.

I had sort of the same thing happen with mine. its like it never healed right. I had it in for about 6 months I cleaned it several times a day but it was always red and sore, and eventually formed a red bump on the side of the ring. even worse, the skin on the inside of my nose formed a big lump where it was trying to grow around the piercing. I eventually just took it out, the bump on the outside went away but I've still got a lump of skin inside my nose. for me, I decided it was just not worth the hassle, and took it out. a nose ring may look cool, but not if its swollen and red with a big bump on it!

Do a salt compress, it worked for me when I had the same thing.

Like, put half a tablespoon of salt in really warm water, and dip a cotton pad in it, and then leave it one the nose for like half an hour, it should bring all the pus out.
