No bake cookies

My cookies do not get hard like when my mom made them for us as kids. When me and my kids make them they never get firm. What am I doing wrong?

depends on what your making- I know if your making oat delights (A.K.A.- dog food cookies) and they don't solidify, then the most likely cause is your not boiling the chocolate mixture long enough.
