What are some fun/unique things to do on New Year's Eve 2008 in Balitmore, Maryland for a couple?

It may be fun if you had your own fondue party! You could make it yourselves together (it can be a bit tricky) and then share the laughs as you enjoy it! You could have friends over, or just stay alone. Also, I heard about someone giving their partner the number of sparklers for the new year (e.c. 8 sparklers for 2008) I don't know if you are engaged, new years is the start of something new so I also heard about a couple who were to be married seven months after new years, so to celebrate their engagement, the guy gave the girl seven sparklers on new years eve.
