well im a nerd so I would know lol. the x86 has to do with the amount of colors it displays. x86 (32bit) means it displays 4.2 billion colors. the other option, x64 displays more despite the lower number. however, you eyes can only see a couple million colors so it doesn't matter and vistax64 has less programs for it. and NEVER EDIT OR DELETE ANYTHING IN THOSE FOLDERS it will f*ck up your machine
Because Vista is an adjective that would get this answer removed if any of the advisors saw it. I hate it I hate it I hate it!!! Every time I use it I struggle to get it to work because it is... yeah, that in no way answered the question, I'm sorry, but you might just want to go back to your old one, as you will learn to loath it...

New to vista
I just got windows vista...and I'm trying to get used to it...one thing that is annoying me is that I have 2 program file folders one named program files and the other named program files (x86) why is that???
