to be honest, just try places like walmart, target, best buy, amazon.com, ebay.com (but buy it new) local pawn shops. If those places dont work there's alway local music stores. Also try guitarcenter.com musicianfriend.com. You can search around on those websites see what you find! GOOD LUCK!!!
Before you go to the store and look at any stereo's that anyone might reccomend, try looking on craigslist. I know how you feel when it comes to the stereo breaking. I loved one that I bought at a neighbors yard sale for $3.00. It was old, and it worked great. One day, BANG! The tape players stopped working completely. Got a year out of it, it was already 20 years old. Still have it, I got attached, and if I could find someone to fix it, I'd go ahead and spend crazy money on it... Just thought I'd share, even though that's not what you're really looking for...
