How can i fit in at a public school?

next year i'm going to a new school and it's a public school and i do not know anyone. i'm so frikin scared. i've gone to a private school all my life so.. any advice? how can i fit in?

i know how u r feeling, i was in the same situation when i younger, i am 44 now. thank god school days are over, well not true, now i got to work, which is not as fun as school. but first when u go to this school try not to show your nervousness. now is this a bigger school where u switch classrooms? or do u stay in one room? if you swtich class rooms just start noticing people who are by your locker, if you have lockers and start a conversation like gosh my locker is hard to open, if their nice they will give you a helping hand and naturally the locker will open becuz u just used that as an excuse to strike up conversation. if someone looks at you just smile back and i tell u what hon eventualy you will meet a girl who will be your friend and then more and more who get to know u will like you , if you have a good personality. now if its where u are in just one room all day then just , (im assuming your a young girl) just look around the girls in room and notice which ones seem nice and friendly and try to start a conversation with them, well try to talk to people who you seem to fit in with, you understand what i am saying? there is so many different clicks out there now a days, so try to hang with ppl who are your style. and stay out of trouble. hope this helps u. kimbobimbo

Im 21 now and went 2 public school all my life. But i know what its like to go to a new school its realy hard and somewhat scary but dont be nervous and just be yourself.Im posetive people will like you for who you are it might take a few days but you will make loads of friends.But realy be yourself because if they dont like you for being you than its there loss. Im in public school and theres alot of things you should know. Im pretty sure there will be other new students too so your not alone. And when it comes to friends, there will probably be some people who will start talking to you and those are the people you wanna hang out with. They might not be the coolest people but I personally know that those are the people who will have your back. Unless your so COOL that everyone will start talking to you and that would be awesome.

i've never went to a public school but i just switched schools which was a huge difference!! when going to a public school u have 2 b open minded. don't judge people so quickly and just be yourself. its also important not to be so shy. or else you'll be alone for months. trust me. i went from shy to outgoing loud friend. i have many friends now all guys for me. just be yourself and if no one is talking just start asking questions. nothings better than someone who wants you no you. good luck. tell me if it works.

im bout to go to a new school for the 2nd time. i failed miserably at fitting in the first. but now i know what i did wrong. dont be weird. atleast not till a while. they alienate u if u are. just try to be mellow and cool. if ppl make fun of u or say mean things, just be like uhh ook? and roll ur eyes. it makes them look stupid. dont look too eager. being lade back makes u look popular. sometimes u gotta fake it to make it. and look ur best cuz hot people have better chances of fitting it. cuz trust me ive seen it happen. good luck

i go to public school its fun but there is one thing u need to know there is scical groups and everyone has a lble u just got to find your lable and see who has that same scoila group or lable and u will fit in but naturlly no one fits in just right

just be you'r self and if people dont like it then theyer not a real friend and no one want's to be with a hater!! and huney no one can really fit into to school you just go on about you' life and dont worry about other's and waht they think!! as loung as you look good to you and you feel good dont let no keep you or get down!!
