ok I saw that New Moon is comin out novemeber 20, 2009. what dates have you head?

According to an article posted on Variety, Summit Entertainment plans to replicate their November success of Twilight by scheduling the film release of the next story in the series, New Moon, for November 20, 2009.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will not be directing the second film. Chris Weitz has signed on for that “role”. He is known for his work on About a Boy and The Golden Compass.

Although it is not mentioned in the article but stated in a few interviews, Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) who portrayed “Edward Cullen” in Twilight plans to reprise his role for New Moon.

I think they set the date too soon...generally, movies which take less than a year to produce reek of commercialism and fail terribly in terms of movie quality...I really fear that making the next movie come out so fast is going to make the new moon movie really, really terrible

They should take more time to do the movie, say 3 years. Better to make a better, more enjoyable movie than create a stupid, lame movie filled with cheesy lines
