How to start a new life in a new place?

How do you start a new life in a new place when you cannot get over your old one?

It depends on what you are missing from your old place. If your missing friends and family then you make sure you keep in contact with as much as possible. When I moved I went exploring my new area and found some wonderful surprises. Make new friends and find a quaint coffee shop with a window that faces a busy street and people watch.
