How to lose 5 kgs?

I've been trying for the past 2 months to lose an excess 4 kgs from my 63 kgs weight. For the past 2 years, I weighed at 59 kgs (fluctuating by about 0.5 kgs). However, towards December 2007, my weight increased and I'm still at 62.5 - 63 kgs. I'm 5ft 2 in, with a medium size body structure.
I've been to see the health nurse, showed her my daily food intake menu and received recommendations from her on the type of food which I should cut down. I've tried for the past 3 weeks to reduce sweet foods (such as pastries, cakes) and also, fried ones. However, I've not seen even a kg of weight being reduced. I drink 2 bottles (600 ml each) of water daily.
I do really need an advice from a professional. HELP...
