Where can a felon work in texas?

Where in central Texas can a convicted felon find a job? It is so hard for me to get a job because of the nature of my crime and I am getting desperate for work. I am off of parole and it is still a huge issue that noone is willing to hire me to work for them. Can anyone help me? I am even a college student with great grades and noone will give me a chance. When they do, the owners of the business intervene and I get terminated or thrown out of the pile of applications to be interviewed. I am in desperate need of some help with my situation.

Hmm, I assume you didn't get convicted for smoking marijuana or shoplifting. Get into a trade program, they typically don't care about criminal backgrounds.
