My girlfriend was "touched" by her grandfather as a child. I just found out about it. She says that it won't leave her mind. I want to help her, but I don't know how.

You can only listen and be patient...there is really nothing else you can do. However, you can encourage her to talk to a therapist.

I agree with them. That happened to me too, except it was my uncle that did it, being touched I mean. He died just recently, so I didn't know what to think, I was sad, because I don't hold grudges like that. Anyways, comfort her, like they said, she will get over it eventually, I did. Tell her to be strong, but lightly tell her that. It was in the past. Put the past behind you.

The best is to re-play the situation when you do the "tuching", but in good mood with jokes and laughs. Like in a salacious comedy. This can sweep out the frustrating remembrances for her mind.
