My friend needs help

Ok my bestfriend she thinks she could be pregnant but shes not sure.
For about a month shes been having her period every other week. like she will be off a week then on a week. Could that indicate that shes pregnant?
Or can weight gain do that or suden...

weight loss?
Cause she just quit the basketball team at our highschool and shes gained some weight.
What could it be?
Shes scared to ask her mom. So I thought maybe someone would maybe know on here. thanks.

It doesn't seem like she could be. Usually if you are pregnant there's just spotting. Irregular periods can be caused by stress... if she wants she should take a test just to make sure.

Big important question - did she have unsafe sex? Cause that's going to be a big hint as to whether its an ACTUAL possibility. I don't understand all you young girls not having safe sex??? Why put yourself at risk for not just pregnancy but sexually transmitted infections? She needs to buy a pregnancy test to put her mind at ease and go to the doctor to get checked up.

Hmm, I'll skip the unsafe sex lecture for now. Irregular periods are not a usual sign of pregnancy. Her hormones are probably a little all over the place. Could be because of the weight gain. Could be stress. Only way to know is to see the doctor... And she should tell her mum...

ok thanks. And she didnt say if she used protection or not. but I belive it could be of stress weight gain casue she has put on some punds.
