Love him but we're going to be apart

My boyfriend and I have been together for 15 months and I really love him. he loves me to and he is planning on marrying me. well this november he is going to the navy for 4 years. he will be home every now and then to visit but still, he will be gone for four years. im a senior so next year im going to college. I dont want to put my life on hold for him but I dont want to meet another guy. I love him so much and I dont want him to leave. but im afraid that when he goes another guy might come and sweep me off my feet. some of my friends have told me that I should try other guys while he is gone to make sure that he is really the one for me. but thats cheating I dont want to do that. we are planning on staying together while he is gone. I just dont know what to do, im afraid ill change while he is away.

You should break up...

You haven't been together long enough to even consider marriage. Neither one of you will be the same person in 4 years. You WILL change while he's away, and he'll change too; and the chances of infidelity on both sides will be staggering.

but if you truly want to wait...then do it,be prepared for peolple to tell you it wont work out
and guys to try to be with you
for you wanting to cheat

but if you both truly love eachother then wait
just be realistic about what your getting yourself into and know that theres a chance it wont work out
my advice
is to break up...or at least put your relationship on hold and be friends through these four years when hes back you can take it from there if you both still feel the same
