Navel pericings

Hey I am considering getting my belly button pierced. I’m 13 years old, tuning 14 this November and entering high school this coming year. My mother doesn’t seem to have ANY problems with it, but my dad is TOTALY against it. He even had a little trouble with me getting the second whole in my ear! I need to know things to say to my dad to get him to say yes. My mom has a friend at work that has a son that owns a tattoo shop, which also does body piercing, so we know where to go, and we trust him more than anyone. I’m worried about how to prepare my self, I’ve herd of getting a tetnis shot before you go to prevent infection. I also want to know what to do during the actual pricing process, such as breathing exercises, or things to think, or even to have particular things said to you while having it done. I’m worried about the fact that my family and I always go to the beach, and I don’t want to miss the fun, BUT I’ve heard that chlorine and salt water is a good disinfectant. Also I’m not the type to get it done, I’m not popular and I’m punk, so the sight of me having it done might attack people to make fun of me! AND I want to know ways to keep it clean and infection free afterwards. I’m also very thin [ I’m 13 and about 85 - 90 pound] and I’m worried the piercing will get ripped out and wont stay in. and one more thing, there’s a guy who happens to like me and recently I was talking to him and he said that belly button piercing turns him on, which made me re-think, but then I figured if it did that to him then made it will have the same effect on the one I like.. Please give me some feed back ASAP, my family and me are going away in about 3 weeks, and my mom wants to ask my dad while away. ; D

Oh and p.s- I am considering modeling as a career, do you thik havieing my navel periced would effect that?

Okies I see many reasons not to have it done, other than the possibility that it might turn on your blokey why do you want it done?!

Sorry if im alittle skeptical but my girlfriend keeps talking about getting more piercings (other than ear) and I dont like them at all. Seems abit like self mutilation of a healthy body. But anyway what are your reasons for wanting it so we can see both sides of the arguement?

I think having the navel pierced would help the modeling actually, anyways, dont worry its easy to take care of mine was ok, it did get sore and pus came out a lot but its normal, iu will probly think its infected when that happens but dont worry about it.
