My sister in law did and people heard her screaming for miles. I'm sure it depends on how big the baby is and pain tolerance maybe.

I did it, and I didn't scream - not for any of my 3 children.

I find that as long as you keep control and focus, you can handle it better. Once you start screaming, you lose control.

Doesn't matter how big the baby is. I was in the hospital with one of my 9lb babies and I could hear a woman in labour screaming like mad - she had a 5lb baby.

It does help if you have a high pain tolerance.

I did with all 3 of my kids also...as ichibanarky said keeping focus and control is the best way to handle it.

Your going to go through major pain...pain like you have never felt before...stay focused and try to remember that if you can't take it, it's ok to get medication. Make sure that you have someone there to help you that will actually help...my husband tried but he wasn't very good at it...my sister in law was so much better. If you have support from other people who encourage you it will help.

Good luck and congratulations..

your body has endorphines to help you neutralize the pain theres a lot of thingsthat your body naturally do to help in the labor process. and remember that back in the days there wasnt epiderals and everyone had babbies natural.
I totally support the natural births, go for it. but yesthe pain might be bad but just stay positive and breath try not to be extra carzy then your emotions will take control and your goign to loose it.
