My theory about existing

mee!! Asked by broadwaystar101 6 months ago, 10 answers.

I think that anything could exist unless someone proves it doesn't...is this theory plausible, or just completely insane?!

Yeah, I definetly see that! I know it sounds weird, but what if we were like some small atom in another larger parallel universe?! I've always wondered about that...

Here's an interesting one for some of the deeper thinkers on this forum Broadway, prove to us that you exist.

I like theories of existence.. they are excellent to ponder... And your theory is a good one. It makes sense... though, a person like me saying that may be a bad thing. Personally, I believe that we are living a dream... we are asleep, though we don't know what is happening in the 'real' world. So everything we know could be a dream, and when we die, we are taken back to the 'real' world. And when we dream, we go into a doubly unreal world. Ok, I know that doesn't make much sense, but it does to my twisted way of thinking.

Okay, kiausu...hmmm prove I exist...well sticking back to my original theory, how can you prove that I don't exist? Answer that, and I will get back to you

I do not believe it is possible to prove to all people that something or someone does not exist Broadway.

Any proof will come about from the information/research currently at hand and the science of discovery is infinite and new information/discoveries are discovered/made every second.

EG
According to the information currently available to me, it appears to prove that you are an internet robot with your postings controlled by a third party, therefore as a human entity, Broadwaystar does not not exist.

Everyone has a different definition of the word 'proof' and everone in the world would require diffent amounts of 'proof' before their mind accepted this 'proof' as fact. 'Proof' is a subjective word.

Another example,
Someone who strongly believes in God may tell you with 100% certainty that it has been proved to them that God exists. They may then give you their reasons for this decision but after listening, you do not believe God exists. How can that be? The person has just given you 'proof' of God's existance?

As I said, everyone has their own 'proof' for every possible subject matter.

Based upon the above, I do not believe it is possible to 100% prove that something or someone does not exist.

Sorry, I know what I am trying to say but it is not easy to put it into words as I'm not a philospher.

Does any of what I am trying to say make any sense to you?

Yes, it actually does! And you bring up a very good point!

How can you prove a negative?
Obviously you wouldn't assert this to all.

I like it. I theorize about these things a lot, I would bore you. But I think it's plausible.
I EXIST!!!...hopefully, or maybe not hopefully...I don't know, you know?
